My son’s engine blow out and was towed to your location. Since he’s in the Air Force, his free time is limited, so Gary and I spoke directly about repairing my son’s vehicle. Gary did an outstanding job with helping my son. Since I’m in California, Gary and I took care of everything over the phone. The repairs were done quickly, but most of all, my son’s vehicle is running better than before! We are very pleased with the work and very thankful that my son was towed to your shop. Excellent service! Thank you once again!

I have used Tuffy on back beach road for almost 9 years, Gary and his team have maintained 4 vehicles for our family, tires, major engine work, air conditioning, belts, hoses, oil change and brakes, you name it and they can do it at a 100% satisfaction rate. I highly recommend them...

I had brought my BMW X3 to the dealer in Ft Walton Beach for a warranty repair. They noted that the valve cover was leaking(this defect also had occurred previously). The price quoted to repair this problem was about $950! As a bonus, it also included a free carwash. I brought the car to Tuffy and they fixed it in one day for half of that amount. That included completely cleaning and degreasing the motor. Unfortunately, no free carwash.

Bought a new Range Rover called here to see if they’ll have the parts since it’s brand New and they said, bring it down we will verify so we did and they said yes we have that oil and filter and so I set a appt for 9am Saturday. I arrived at 8:40am and set there waiting till 12:02 when I was told we can get the filter , sorry may want to go to Jacksonville he says lmao just take your Range Rover to walk Mary people they get their filters from Advance auto too.

I would like to send out a sincere thank you to Cody Harris! Cody noticed that I had an alarming "noise" coming from my brakes recently. He felt it was serious enough to park my 2010 Jeep and discontinue driving it for safety reasons and have it towed to the shop for further inspection. If not for Cody hearing "that noise" I could have lost my brakes completely and been in and/or caused a serious accident! When Cody and his manager Gary looked closer into the issue the next day they couldn't believe that the local dealership I had been to just a month back for an "all points check" did not feel my completely worn back rotor was of concern? Thank you Cody for putting your customers and their vehicles safety first!

On vacation went to another tire place that morning they said it would be late morning/afternoon just to take a look at.I understand they have appointments before me and that’s fine not slamming there business.While I was waiting I called Tuffy Tire down the road and Mike said bring it right in and we will take a look at it.I indeed had a nail in my tire but my tires were to far gone to repair the the tire.They quoted me a price to replace no hassle.While I was waiting for my car to get done a lady came in with her little boy and said she thought she had a cat in her car somewhere she could hear something but couldn’t see it and all Jeff(the man behind the counter)said was “Let me fill out and invoice and I will have a guy take a look”.He was a nice as he could possibly be.She went nuts cussing him and told him to suck a fat one and stormed out.Jeff was doing what he was supposed to do if he would have sent a guy or even he would have went out and a rabid cat,possum or raccoon attacked one of the workers without the proper paper work.The lady and she was a young lady was completely out of line.Jeff held his cool and let her show her tail in front of all the customers.

As an out of state tourist(Southaven MS), I found myself with my vehicle needing repairs before I headed home. I needed to leave the next morning. Although all the bays were full, and the lot backed up with other vehicles, they saw the urgency of my needs. They took my car in the first bay that came open and got me going. Many thanks and my heartfelt appreciation to the men at Tuffys.

I would like to thank service manager Phillip Moore and his team for their expert dianogistics of my brake concerns on my 2011 Ford Escape. They were able to correct the problem and have us out the door in less than 2 hours ensuring our safe return back to Canada. He also was able to explain how to maintain correct activation for adjustment of the rear brakes. I would reccomend their facility to any one needing automotive service. Thankyou Jim Landon

Every parent with a college kid headed in their car to Panama City for Spring Break needs to read this. Our Son drives a 2003 Toyota 4Runner. On the last part of the trip down from North Carolina with his 3 friends his engine developed an undetected, but bad oil leak. It never got to the point that is caused the oil pressure light to come on, but the next morning there was a large pool of oil under the car. He called AAA, after calling home, and they towed it to Tuffy Tire and Auto. I had never heard of Tuffy so I read the reviews and felt better, but still apprehensive I called them. I ended up talking with Gary. The leak had been very large and the entire front of the engine was saturated in oil, the serpentine belt was trashed, the alternator was dripping oil from the inside and many other component's were damaged. They refilled the engine with oil to see where it was coming from and narrowed it down, but It took over a day for them to get it disassembled to the point they could nail it down. It turned out to be a leak at the upper oil pan, which appeared to have a manufacturing issue that finally surfaced. To make a long story short the total repair was nearly $4,000. The parts weren't that bad, considering I had him replace a bunch of parts beyond what was damaged, including the timing chain/guides and water pump, thermostat, etc. When you have the engine that far apart you take care of these things. His 4Runner is 4 wheel drive, so getting to the upper oil pan involved removing the front axels and front differential, as well a bunch of other things so the labor was the big part of the job. Gary walked me through the entire process. I'm an engineer and have done my share of mechanical work through my career and working on my own cars. Gary was great, and I had every confidence the work was being done right, and that they were treating me fairly. 2 messages here. AAA is well worth the cost, and reliable, and if you have a child in Panama City Beach you can trust Tuffy Tire and Auto. These guys actually care about you when you have a problem on vacation.

I was visiting my sister here in Panama City Fla. and picked up a nail in my tire. It was not leaking but of course did not want to get back on the road to Texas and have a flat to deal with. Phillip Moore worked me in on a busy Saturday morning. It turned out the nail had worked it's way out and did not puncture the tire. They showed me the problem and recommended I just keep an eye on it for the few days we had left here and bring it back if it did start to leak. They sent me on the way and did not charge me anything. I would recommend these guys to anyone. They are honest, competent and very friendly.

My truck started making noise on our way to Florida from Toronto, so I parked the trailer and took it into Tuffy's in Palm City Beach. Turns out it needed some pretty serious work, but the techs kept the costs low and had me out the door with plenty of time to spare. Great shop, great staff.

Wow!!!! Tuffy's is the best choice for service in PCB!!!! I get an oil change here every year when I pass through PCB. My first experience was so positive, I won't miss this place. Again, this year, they were wonderful. The staff always makes you feel welcome. The gentleman who changed the oil came in and sat with me to chat about my car. He said I would be needing a transmission fluid service. I was surprised because I have had that done twice recently. He explained why it still was a bit dirty. I left so happy I could jump and click my heels. The first flush was at my favorite independent garage. Not long after, my favorite dealership said it needed to be done. I was perplexed because it had just been done, but I had it done again because I am in for the long haul with this car. I have over 145,000 on my car and I take very good care of it. I didn't understand having to get the trans flushed twice....but after the kind and patient explanation, I am a happy camper. It is wonderful to be able to trust service!!!! Tuffy's should be the only choice for all your service needs in PCB!!!!!

We were in Panama City Beach, FL the week of 4th of July 2016 vacationing from Texas. My Mitsubishi Montero started overheating. I called four other shops first and of course they were all busy due to the holiday week. I finally called Tuffy and they were still able to accommodate me even when they were busy. They diagnosed the problem and fixed it the next day. We were able to enjoy the rest of the week and drive back to Texas. Thanks to Tuffy Panama City Beach for the excellent and professional service.

I had .intermittent noises which was hard to duplicate. I asked Tuffy to do a safety inspection and look for the noise. They (Andy) found one source immediately and fixed it. To find the other noise Andy rode with me to find it. While the ride failed to identify the remaining noise, I was encouraged to bring it back in if I heard it again. Several days later it reoccurred and I brought it back. Andy quickly determined that an engine belt was occasionally rubbing on a plastic shield and fixed it without additional charge. The car has been noise free for more thn a month.

Wow. I can't say enough good things about the service we received at Tuffy Panama City Beach. Friday afternoon on July 4th weekend we were headed back to Atlanta after our vacation and the water pump on our GMC Yukon blew. Our car was loaded with all of our bags and we had our bikes on a bike rack. There were no rental cars available and I had no idea how we were going to find a place to stay and manage to get our belongings to and from the service center. The assistant manager and Clyde (our service tech) agreed to stay late and fix our car so that we could make it back to Atlanta without the hassle and expense the overnight was going to cause. Their prices were reasonable, they had all the parts in stock, everyone was super friendly, they were very knowledgeable and they stayed late to fix our car. I don't see how you could possibly do better than Tuffy PCB for car service.

I brought my 2005 Jaguar S type in as the steering was making a squeaking noise. I looked at the forums on the web and then contacted Gary at Tuffy's . He knew of the problem and the quick fix was an additive. I set an appointment and when I arrived my car was immediately and professional dealt with. It is now back to what it was and I was charged a 1 hour labour charge and the additive for $90. When you drive a Jaguar you need to b careful where you get service as some will automatically add some unnecessary cost. I would recommend these guys anytime. And as a tourist I am especially impressed with my treatment. Thanks very much.

Mike and the team are great, they have worked on my car and a friends, they towed my car for a very reasonable price, after pricing the fix i decided the car was beyond repair as it had 320k on it, so i donated it to Goodwill, Mike sat the car in their lot until Goodwill came to pick it up, I always advise people around here to give Tuffys a try, they are good people.

I was visiting relatives in Destin and Port St. Joe recently and noticed a roaring on the left side of my vehicle. After many phone calls and worry, I took it into Tuffy Panama City Beach to have it checked out. I have never met a friendlier or more professional office and business. Gary and Mike made me feel very comfortable and went to great lengths to make sure the car was checked thoroughly. Upon an extensive check, they found a left wheel bearing needed to be replaced. They read over my extended warranty with Honda and since I was close enough to a Honda Dealership, I would have to take it there for repair. They were very cordial, professional and courteous to me and every other customer that came in while I was there. I would definitely recommend Tuffy Panama City Beach to anyone with a car problem in that area. Thanks to everyone there that helped me through this trying time. Praying blessings for you all and your management.

Gary and the guys at Tuffys not only fixed the leaking oil pan gasket, but gave me a ride home (thanks Clyde) and had a very nice guy pick me up in the morning, as a local these guys are who i would recommend to guests and visitors, honest guys, great mechanics, the best in PCB, wiil definately return when mechanical work is needed, thanks again Gary.

If you are a snowbird, like we are, and you run into car trouble and need an honest shop, this is your place. We had been at our rental townhome only a couple of days when I discovered the battery to our 2007 Buick LaCrosse was dead. I did some checking on the internet for reliable and honest shops and after reading bad reviews on most of the ones close to us, came upon Tuffy's in Panama City Beach, a 15 mile drive. Had the car towed there and they replaced the battery and did an electrical systems check. Drove the car home and it was dead the next morning. Called Tuffy's and THEY had it towed back to them, this time replacing the alternator. Some might question how i could be satisfied. Well, I checked their pricing by doing my own research, and the costs of the repairs was spot on with what it should have been. Thanks to Gary and his crew.

In November 2014 I was here in Panama City Beach for the Emerald Coast Cruizin when the shifter cable on my 1955 Chevy Belair broke. I had no idea who to call since we did not live in this area. The AAA website recommended Tuffy, which was located just down the street from the show field where my car was parked. I contacted them first thing Friday morning and by late that afternoon, my car was repaired! Gary and his mechanic Tim went above any expectation that I had. They were knowledgeable, they were nice, and the final price was extremely reasonable. Their customer service couldn't have been any better. Without reservation, I highly recommend this company for your automotive needs.

I had a flat tire on the way to the beach in Panama City. Stopped at Tuffy Auto Service to check on getting a replacement. Gary the service manager came out and got my bad tire out from under my car. He noticed my other tires were in bad shape also. He priced me 4 new tires and an alignment. I called back home to my tire people and Gary’s price was better than I could get at home. He set me up and explained every step they were doing to my alignment to keep my tires form wearing like they were. Excellent service and the staff were friendly and returned all my calls. I wish they were closer so I could do all my business with them. They made my vacation so much better than it could have been. Great guys!!!

I don't normally do reviews but if I don't give two thumbs way up to Tuffy's tire that would haunt me. I had a minor issue, my mechanic back home left a bolt untightened. All I knew was my car sounded like it was coming apart. Tuffy could have told me anything and charged me out the wazu... They were honest and MORE than fair... Thanks guys

While vacationing in PCB our brand new tire picked up a nail. Tuffy Tires told us to bring it over immediately. Upon their close examination, the very helpful serviceman determined the nail had not punctured to tire but rather was just badly jammed between the treads. He corrected the tire inflation level and sent us on our way, absolutely refusing to accept any payment for his time or his help. He would not even accept a tip! We most highly recommend Tuffy Tires and their helpful employees!

When our car sprang a hefty leak in the cooling system on the way to Panama City Beach for a much-anticipated vacation, I was very afraid that we'd become another horror story about tourists being ripped by local mechanic shops. We arrived on a Sunday evening and I immediately started searching for a respected place to get the work done. I consulted local people at the hotel, ran thru the Yellow Pages, ran the Internet and checked into the BBB lists for Panama City Beach and finally decided to go with Tuffy. I was waiting at their door when they opened on Monday morning and I cannot be happier about their immediate concern, helpfulness and professionalism. They checked the car, found the leak in the heater core, and gave me a very decent (considering) estimate for the cost. (And the final bill was NOT "run up!) The entire dash of our car, a 2006 Ford Fusion, had to almost be "gutted" to get to the core but when they were finished, the car only needed a couple of minor "tweaks" to wrap up a very thorough job. I don't believe that I could have gotten a dealer to do it any cheaper or any better and I highly recommend Gary and his crew to any out-of-towners who need auto service when in the area. I do NOT normally give "testimonial" like this but I am making this one because they went out of their way to help us when we REALLY needed it. Trust is hard to give; I'd use them again and want to thank them again for helping out a couple of tourists who were stuck in a bad situation. I recommend them and hope that someone else caught in similar circumstances can be reassured and helped by my endorsement. Respectfully, James H. Winchel
